బతుకమ్మ పాటల పునరుద్ధరణ ఒక స్వచ్ఛంద ప్రయత్నం.

బతుకమ్మ పాటలు ఎక్కడా రాసిపెట్టినవి కావు — పెద్దల జ్ఞాపకాల్లోనే బతికి ఉన్నాయి. ఒక్కో ఊరిలో ఒక్కో రాగం, ఒక్కో కథ. ఆ పెద్దలు పాడుతుండగానే రికార్డ్ చేసి, పాడినవారి పేరు, ఊరు, వారు ఎవరి దగ్గర నేర్చుకున్నారో అన్నీ భద్రపరిచి, అందరూ ఉచితంగా వినేలా ఉంచడమే మా లక్ష్యం.

ప్రతి రికార్డింగ్ పాడినవారి స్వయం అనుమతితోనే ఇక్కడ ప్రచురించబడుతుంది. ఏ రికార్డింగ్ అయినా తీసివేయాలంటే మాకు ఈమెయిల్ చేయండి.

The Bathukamma Restoration Project is a volunteer effort.

Bathukamma songs were never written down. They live in the memories of elders, with a different tune and a different story in every village. We record elders as they sing, note who sang, where they are from and from whom they learnt each song, and keep the recordings free for everyone to hear.

Every recording is published only with the singer's own spoken consent. If you would like a recording taken down, email us.
